Place 2 Be: St. Marks Place

14 09 07 - 18:15 Yooo guyz! It may seem like lately fashion week is the only thing New York is good for, but that is definitely not the case. I was reminded of that today walking in my neighborhood in the East Village on the famous St. Marks place. You might remember when NYLON tv took it to the street of St. Mark's and visited Trash and Vaudeville with intern Chase and the Misshapes. Trash and Vaudeville among many other crazy cool things are small significant parts of the whole hodgepodge that makes St. Marks one of the most famous streets in downtown New York. Check out some of the things it has to offer.

You can find any style of sunglasses you want basically. This is where I get my Woody Allen-esque frames. Best part though, you probably wont have to spend more than 10 dollars, and you can even bargain with the vendors.

Kim's Video is the best video store in New York. There has never been a time where they have not carried a film that I want to see. If you think you are a film connoisseur you should test your knowledge to see how many of the films you would recognize here. They have some sick foreign and avant garde flicks.

Good Dog just opened up with a huge paper mache dog on top of it. They got some hot dogs, some buffalo dogs, some turkey dogs, and some soy dogs. Try the Puggle special, it will hit the spot.

This crazy art piece was just chillin on the street with a cardboard sign that said "can take home for $200". This type of thing is not uncommon for the hyphy St. Marks Place.

Anddd where else in New York could you probably find every type of cuisine in a one block radius. Thats why St. Marks knows whats up.

If you are in the NYC, St. Mark's should be one of your stops.

Peace~ Spacey Tracy xx
