Yoo guyz so yesterday during the drizzley rain, McCarren Park Pool had no problem being a little damp. This Olympic sized waterless pool housed a sick set by Brooklyn's TV on the Radio thrown by our friends at Helio. Dude that's rad Jared and friends showed up in the mediocre weather, knowing that TV on the Radio would cancel out any reasons to not pool it. McCarren Park Pool had already won me over as one of my fav NYC summer spots, but yesterday it literally blew me out of the water. TV on the Radio, rocked out with fellow Brooklynites (even though these originals kept on sayin "No matter how much Brookly has changed...") who were watching, singing, dancing, drinking, smoking, and yes... playing dodge-ball. NY this is why NYLON loves you.... Check out the action here and at
Dude That's Rad.

The underground lair of Love combined with the Yo Yo party was a neoned and glow-in-the-darked out venue. As NYLON art director of interactive Alexandra Gershman put it,"who wouldn't like a bar with fake plastic rocks, misting waterfalls, a stand full of 40's, neon, and secret passage ways.
