I love the eccentricity of it all. There is definitely SO much energy in this clothing, however I would not be caught dead wearing an outfit like this by myself. The way they're dressed works because they're all doing it, but if I saw someone wearing something like this walking down the street, my first instinct would be to yell "FREAK" !

not too shabby. i really enjoy homeboys green shoes and the black lacy get-up in the second to last row. overall sao paulo seems very unique and eccentric. dont ever stop being original. nylon should come to the philadelphia/south jersey area. peoples style gets pretty crazy, esp at local shows.

I think each style is each style....and YES..people in Brazil wear like THIS....and other ways...better, worst and different of those too. And we must respect every style and not have shame of wear WHATEVER we want to !!!! This is what fashion is about.

I can see both points of view, yes, but I must say i like that almost every piece is totally danceable. You know these people are having fun.

Of course that isn't everyone who knows how to use clothes. I mean, these people really use these clothes, even out of SPFW..Brazil's got people who knows and who don't know how to dress, like in aaallll countries. Is just a sense of style.

I'm a serious fashion professional so let's get the reality here. 1st thing the first clothes on the picture on the left is from a brazilian brand called Amapo, Mia is friends with the owners of this brand for years and get inspired by their work and wear their clothes even before creating her own brand, she comes pretty often to Brazil and if she was smart enough she would take amapo to do her collection because her own just look like a weak copy and it's ridicullous. 2nd reality guys, of course you can see much more people with great style in european countries wich has many many centuries of knowhow in fashion and great vintage shops, and the most important money! Brazil is a poor country with only 500 years of age, only 20% of the population can go to university. So the clothes are badly made the're are no education besides the facy that USA invade our country and economy with their vulgarity and bad taste, destroying our buildings and changing our natural beautifull culture. 3thrd but not less important reallity is that the Nylon people who were in Brazil had a very very bad fashion style they looked dressed by h&m and zara, no class! and they were hanging out with tacky looser people..its a shame nylon is a decent little magazine.

Also, I saw the nylon writer at the adidas party during spfw, she was very cool, very nice, and definitely wasn't wearing zara. I´m brazilian girl. People do not wear it all the time. Only fashionist do it when they get opportunity to appear in magazines like this one. We have great style and great stylist & designs! Of course we use more colours than any other countries, we have a history that shows how Imperialism try to teach how we should be! Always always accusing us as exotic, freak, pour-but-happy etc. Brazil is not Carnaval all the time!

There were soooooo many more interesting people that could have been shown up there. Those in the pictures ( not all, ut most of them ) are big show offs that just dress up for this kinds of events, I mean, you hardly see people wearing stuff like that on the streets...As brazilian these people kind of embarass me, they are trying too hard to be fashionistas...
