Hi guys! I'm sure plenty of people (myself included) used to have tons of clothing with heart prints when they were younger. When I wore heart-shaped shades this past summer, I've had so many people ask me if they were vintage, or that the pair reminded them of heart-shaped sunnies they had from childhood. There's been quite a surge in hearts found in apparel and accessories from the past year and I'm loving the nostalgia. Check some of them out under the cut!
<3 Jinnie L.
I wore these sunnies at a summer show at Brooklyn's McCarren Pool where a girl stopped me because she was wearing the same pair! Except she confessed she bought hers from eBay, when she could have gone to Delias or Urban Outfitters for cheaper.
SOME WOMEN HAVE NO TROUBLE WHATSOEVER WORKING A WIDE-BRIMMED HAT WITH PIZAZZ AND EXTREME SAVOIRE-FAIRE. KATYA HERE IS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF SUCH A WOMAN. AND SHE EVEN WEARS A FORK AS A PENDANT ATTACHED TO A CHAIN TO TOP IT OFF!

Hi guys! So bundling up in the cold months can be a task sometimes, but remember that staying warm is definitely more crucial than suffering for fashion. These days, I like to take cues from my local Eastern Mountain Sports rather than the designer throngs of Soho when looking for winter items. As a huge fan of hiking and camping, here are some outdoor tips I've always followed but found just as life-saving when adapting them to my everyday wardrobe.

At the A + D Museum on Wilshire, where architecture and design collide, Gen Art’s “Art in Motion” gala brought together LA’s fashion and art elite. Both a party and an exhibit, the music/dance-filled event toasted Playground, a newish bi-annual collection of art and fashion prints by over 25 renowned artists. Names we recognize include Surface to Air, Tierney Gearon, and Terence Koh (and more!). Their works, among those of many others, were ostentatiously (but fabulously) splashed across the gallery walls. The best part is, this collection, curated by Zach Gold and Julie Ragolia, has a minimal run of 250 limited edition prints that are available through Colette in Paris, project no. 8 in NY, the MOCAand All Purpose in LA, and Selfridges Wonder Room in London. And while I’d love a print, my wallet tells me that I’ll have to settle for the images below.

Gallery hopping in Los Angeles is very different from its kind in New York. The inconvenience of driving from one place to another makes it a tiresome task to schmooze, booze (responsibly), and get art-giddy at various spots. Granted, it’s getting better what with the “gallery” rows solidifying around town, but there is still a need to go to shows you know will be memorable, albeit somewhat sceney.
And speaking of sceney, many weekends ago, Vans put together a group show at the New Image Art Gallery (tucked away in the Fairfax/Santa Monica Blvd. corner). Six LA-based artists were given the opportunity to apply their artistry in redesigning the beloved crisp, white Vans.

Blunt-banged blonde designer Erin Fetherston made her GO International Line for Target debut last month, and the clothing is so adorable and whimsical, it makes me wish Valentine's Day were already here. Fetherston's Parisian-inspired collection features lots of satin, velvet, hearts, mini-dresses -- colors of black & white, reds, soft creams and purples. Her line is definitely my favorite so far in the GO International series!! If you don't have a Target store near you, just do what I do and order online at Target.com. Also, under the cut are some close-up shots of my faves.

So in honor of our latest cover star Mary-Kate Olsen, you have to check out this short video. It features the holiday collection of The Row, the twins' high-end line, which MK talks about in the magazine interview. The vid is very clever how it features individual items of clothing (it actually probably looks like many of us trying to get dressed every morning -- you'll see what I mean). And remember to watch for credits... socialite and stylist Vanessa Traina lends her talents to fluidly piecing each outfit together. Enjoy!
QUITE POSSIBLY ONE OF THE MOST SPIRITED SALES ATTENDANTS YOU WILL FIND IN LOS ANGELES IS MICAELA FROM THE FAMED DESIGNER CONSIGNMENT STORE, DECADESTWO. THIS LITTLE LADY ROCKS A PAIR OF CONVERSE LIKE NONE OTHER AND WHAT'S BEST ABOUT THE WAYS IN WHICH SHE EXPRESSES HERSELF THROUGH HER STYLE IS THE EVIDENT FOCUS ON COMFORT. I'VE SEEN HER ROCKING CHANEL (NOTE THE VUITTON BAG: MICAELA GIVES GOOD LUXE), AND EVERYONE THAT KNOWS HER CAN TELL YOU ABOUT HER LOVE OF CHLOE JEANS. SHE PUMPS THAT PENDULUM OF STYLE FROM A TO B WITH THE GREATEST OF EASE. AND BEST OF ALL, SHE CREDITS HER MAMA AS HER STYLE ICON. MICAELA KEEPS IT REAL Y'ALL!

Happy December, everyone! So winter's arrived and the chill factor here in NYC has plummeted to incredibly low temperatures. But the cold months also happen to be a favorite time of year -- layers, accessories, boots, hello!
Seeing that plaid has recently become a bit of a trend (in fact, I'm wearing a new plaid shirt from Gap -- from the men's section because they have more variety), the whole lumberjack look is inevitable. In going with that theme, check out some of these trapper hats... my head and ears have never been cozier. Mmmmm.
This trapper is from Isaac Mizrahi via Bergdorf Goodman, but there are more affordable ones after the jump. Check them out.
