RIHANNA X RIVER ISLAND

RIHANNA X RIVER ISLAND

Copping Riri's killer style just became a lot easier.

Last night Opening Ceremony held a RIHtrospective featuring seven of Rihanna's iconic looks (her Jeremy Scott dog tag dress was in the building) to kick off her collection for River Island--which is as about as Riri as it gets. Yes, that means you'll have some new cropped tops to add to your collection. After scanning the room for every single piece, one thing was clear: music isn't the pop icon's only talent. She put together a low-priced collection that doesn't even look a bit out of place at Opening Ceremony. And while we're handing her compliments, we'll just come out and say that she's the most stylish woman in music right now.

Riri is touring, so she wasn't at the party, but between her hit songs blaring through the speakers and the racks filled with her designs--every single one of which we can picture her in--her presence was felt. The tees and sweatershirts were cropped, no skirt came without a side-slit, and no piece of jersey didn't come pre-knotted in the back. In other words, copping Riri's exact style just became a lot easier.

The collection is available now at Opening Ceremony and River Island stores and at both of their websites--we hope you like crop tops! This one is going to go quick, like, end-of-day quick, so head on over or place your orders online now.

Now we'll just have to sit tight for her MAC cosmetics line so we have the matching red lipstick to wear with our cropped denim overall top.

What a boring line .What in the world was she thinking with that denim. That's quite hideous.

It doesn't seem like anything exciting, except for those jeans! I love those. I will probably DIY myself some. Thanks for the inspiration yet again Nylon :)

I understand the importance of high end embracing basics. Rihanna displays a great talent in doing that with her own style, adorning them with other louder pieces. However, I would have loved to see her try and design such loud pieces as the ones she frequents..I think that's what would make her line truly iconic.
