OVERHEARD AT NYFW

You never know what you'll hear in the front row.

We've been New York Fashion Week-ing since last Wednesday (we literally have not missed one show) and since our front row seats are often right next to some cool celebs, we've struck up some pretty entertaining conversations before the show starts. Our firsthand account of the madness includes a tip from Natalia Kills about remembering to take off her price tags before she gets photographed by a million photographers, with Donna Karan about being the queen of New York, a complaint from Aziz Ansari, and more.

"I stepped out of the car and realized that I still had the price sticker on the sole of my new Giuseppe Zanotti heels."--Natalia Kills

"Jeremy Scott is always incredible. I've been on the road and this is the only show that I came back for."--Kat Graham

"I have this t-shirt that I've had since I was 11 or 12. It's neon yellow. It's so old it might disintegrate in my hands. It's a Crazy Eddy shirt. Do you remember him? He's like, "I'm Crazy Eddy. My prices are insane!" So it's Crazy Eddy and the funny thing is that Crazy Eddy was indicted for tax evasion. Anyway, this was my favorite t-shirt and I remember I wore it to the Tibetan Freedom concert in '96. Someone at the very top yelled "Crazy Eddy!" I realized that it was so bright that people several tiers away could spot it. That's the probably the thing I will never get rid of. It's stuff like that. I kind of don't follow trends. I'm interested in them. Some fabulous stylist will tell me."--Olivia Wilde

"One of best things I've I've seen so far are five Korean designers at Concept Korea. The quality and the detail technology--it's nothing like Paris, LA, and New York. It was so different and strong. I also liked Christian Siriano's show. He is so prolific. You really have to respect the quality of what he is putting out."--Patricia Field

"I always wear dresses. An Isabel Marant dress that I have-it's green and I wore it in the NYLON video, and I wore it to Coachella about five years ago with my Chloe studded boots. And then last Coachella, the green dress came back out and the Chloe boots came back out and I wore exactly the same outfit. I love that dress. It's green, it covers my arms, it's a bit bohemian. It's a bit like a house-dress really! [laughs]"--Cher Coulter

"My favorite moment so far was rolling up in a black car to the Diesel show."--Hannah Bronfman

"When casting my girls I look for stature, confidence, purity innocence--it's not somebody who is jaded. She's alive, she's fresh, and she's free. She's the girl I see in the DKNY clothes. They're from all around the world. That's the beauty of it. Every single girl is from a different country. One is from Russia, one is from China, one is from Slovenia. It is extraordinary to see the cultural combinations of what New York is really all about; it's about every culture. New York for me is the streets of New York. It's the energy of New York--we try to communicate that through DKNY is the streets and the energy of New York. Hopefully we do it season after season. I'm New York."--Donna Karan

"I think I have frostbite."--Aziz Ansari
