There's something about the SAG Awards that just makes actors giddy. Maybe it's the fact that they're being honored by their peers, or perhaps it's because at this point in the award's season they're subsisting off of solely champagne, but either way it makes for a very happy red carpet.
That goes for what they're wearing, as well--think of the Screen Actors Guild Awards as falling somewhere between the Globes and the Oscars; you won't see many cocktail dresses, but you also see far fewer princess gowns. And lots of risks: Take January Jones, who went haute-rock with her Prabal Gurung dress and pseudo-'hawk hairstyle. Or Amanda Seyfried, who did her version of dressed-down with a beautiful sapphire blue strapless paired with an ultra-boho necklace.
Even the ultra-girly dresses--Rose Byrne's Mia-Farrow-in-The-Great-Gatsby-esque floral frock, or Kiernan Shipka's sparkly, bell-shaped number--felt just subversive enough to look really, really cool.
And while navy blue might have seemed like the color of the night, we couldn't help but fall for
all the NYLON pink dressers we spied on the red carpet.
