LOOKBOOK: OPENING CEREMONY

LOOKBOOK: OPENING CEREMONY

The OC goes to Palm Springs this spring.

Things you'll need before checking out the Opening Ceremony spring '13 lookbook: a tall glass of lemonade, The Shirelles queued up on Spotify, and access to a nearby pool.

Because it will make you want all of those things--in addition to everything in the collection.

For the season, the New York-based retailer is going all '60s Palm Springs on us, with gingham print, pencil skirts, and lots and lots of pastels. Of course, nothing Opening Ceremony does is boring, and so there are plenty of twists, such as a peplum attached to the top of pants instead of the bottom of a top, or a girly dress with daisy-shaped shoulder cut-outs.

Not ready for a total time warp? Just pair your checker print frock with one of their leather vests or chunky ultra-'90s mules (yes, mules), and you're good to go. Seriously, though, don't forget the lemonade.
