HIT THE DECK

In Paris, even skateboards are treated like art...

Did you fall asleep in your post modern architecture class?  Maybe that's because Le Corbusier never made a skateboard.  But if you're in Paris right now, you can see some other brilliant designers who have.

This month, the fashion store Colette hosts SKATE STUDY HOUSE, a modern art installation by artist Pierre Andre Senizergues (which we cannot pronounce either) and Gil Le Bon De LaPointe, which showcases skateboards turned into chairs, tables, shelves, and beds.

The project explores how skate culture can invade and even transform ideas about modern living, and it's gorgeous.

Of course, if you're one of those people who already eats, sleeps, and parties while glued to your board, you already know all about that...
