Confession: Our initial interest in
The Oranges revolved entirely around the love affair between Hugh Laurie and and Leighton Meester (A.K.A. Dr. House and Blair Waldorf). Aside from seeming like such a bizarre pairing for all the obvious reasons, our interest in the dramedy definitely grew once watching the trailer. Hitting theaters Friday, October 5th,
The Oranges boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Catherine Keener, Adam Brody, and Alia Shawcat in addition to Laurie and Meester, and an equally impressive soundtrack, including The Submarines, Schuyler Fisk, Zee Avi, and The Grand Nationals.
While we'll have to wait till tomorrow to see the film, we nabbed the exclusive premiere for New Jersey-based quintet The Grand Nationals' new single "We Can't Stay Here," which is featured in the film. Interspersed with scenes from the film, the music video manages to perfectly showcase the song and the film, so by the end of it, you're not only dying to see the movie, but you're also craving to hear the awesome folk-indie song again.
Watch the video below and get excited to see
The Oranges this weekend.
