Nicole Richie likes to break the rules (and design clothing we want for Macy's).
With her Impulse collection for Macy's being her third line, Nicole Richie is basically an only-slightly-taller, solo version of the Olsen twins. Which is to say, we're obsessed.
And what is Richie obsessed with? Rule-breaking and Rihanna, apparently--we got the inside scoop in a series of behind-the-scenes videos. "I try not to go by any rules, especially when I'm talking about mixing prints, because I'm so inspired by the '60s and '70s—and their rule was that there were no rules. I'm constantly listening to music from the '60s and '70s. I listen to current music as well. I listen to Rihanna and Florence and the Machine."
