But this summer, Marc Jacobs has taken the look and turned it into a high-low masterpiece with his new range of rubber jewelry. Retailing for about $30 each, the collection includes giant rubber bracelets in pink, red, green, white, and black, complete with a Marc Jacobs charm and a guarantee that you can wear these things without fear of damage in the ocean, the pool, or even a much-needed bubble bath.
Design Crush: Rubber shoes.
Marc's also taken the black diamond stud made popular by tough-chic designers like Eddie Borgo and Balmain, and turned it into a black rubber motif on earrings, bracelets, and rings. We'll just call the vibe, "Girl With a Temporary Dragon Tattoo."
