SWEETER THAN WINE

SWEETER THAN WINE

Let these spirits move you.

1. ABSOLUT 100
The holidays are stressful times. When 80 proof just won’t cut it, round it up to Absolut 100. A seasonal, special edition vodka (blended from Sweden’s winter wheat), 100 may come housed in a dramatic black-coated bottle, but it’s also joined by a festive cocktail list with drink names like Season Blingings and Winter Breeze.

2. ARMAND DE BRIGNAC “ACE OF SPADES” CHAMPAGNE
A favorite among the hip hop set—it debuted as a prop in Jay-Z’s music video for “Show Me What You Got”—Armand de Brignac Champagne, a.k.a. Ace of Spades, lives up to it’s name. Feeling festive, Cattier, the French company that bottles this bubbly, just launched a new Rose version this week. Put some color in your cheeks…

3. STILETTO VODKA
Heels and hard liquor are as risky a combination as gin and juice, but the all-lady lushes behind new brand Stiletto Vodka have found a tasty, not necessarily trip-easy mix. It comes in colors, er, flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and mint, but sweeter still is that they donate 25 cents from each bottle sold to breast cancer research, and another 25 to children’s charity Emeril Lagasse Foundation.

4. CHRISTIANIA
Named after Norway’s “Bohemian King” Christian IV (1577-1648), this 500-year-old vodka never looked better. Newish to the States, Christiana is already behind the bar at hot spots like Gramercy Tavern and Aquavit. For the holidays, it tapped world-renowned mixologists to create Christiana-based cocktails, “Christinis;” find the recipes online!

5. ROBERTO CAVALLI VODKA
With a collection for H&M and a special edition sunglasses range, how Roberto Cavalli had time to create his very own vodka is anyone’s guess. Blended from handcrafted Italian grains, it is as stylishly sumptuous as the clothes we already covet.

6. VIKTOR & ROLF LIMITED EDITION PIPER HEIDSIECK
We saved the best for last: Dutch design duo Viktor & Rolf’s clothing label is all about unconventionality; they are known for tweaking and exaggerating timeless styles. So it’s fitting that, when designing this limited edition Rosé Sauvage by champagne connoisseurs Piper Heidsieck, they would flip it on its head. At least you'll rest assured, after throwing back a couple of New Years flutes, that it's not your fault you can't read the upside-down label.
