Our five favorite songs of the week!

Outer Limitz, "I Kontact"
Considering I've been playing Wise Blood's EP pretty much nonstop since it dropped almost a year ago, let's just say my need for a new trippy-weird music obsession is long overdue. And I think I've found it, thanks to Australian-American musician Sam Mehran. He's only 24, but he's already got extensive experience, including a stint with Blood Orange's Dev Hynes in the cheekily-named, short-lived band Test Icicles. Mehran just dropped a new track this week under his latest incarnation, Outer Limitz, and it's a psychedelic mashup of twitchy chopped-up beats, warped vocals, and a bouncey pop backbone. Yeah...it's love at first listen (and definitely 420-appropriate).

Animal Kingdom, "Strange Attractor"
This trio is gearing up to release their sophomore album The Looking Away in May, and if the lead single is any indication, prepare your ears for something epic. The dreamy track is a whipped pop blend of atmospheric melodies and a heart-wrenching, high-flying chorus that only gets more thrilling as the song progresses. We can thank the producer David Kosten -who's also worked with Bat for Lashes and Everything Everything- for the song's shimmery, sparkly vibe. Fingers crossed these guys come to the U.S. so I can see the magic happen in person.

Being There, "Seventeen"
The new single from recent Young & Lost Club signees Being There is a throwback to the dating ways of yesteryear, and it's totally adorable in its retro John Hughes nostalgia- kind of like the London band itself. Yes, they sound a lot like The Pains of Being Pure at Heart...but who says that's such a bad thing? Sometimes I just want to lie on my bed amnd listen to a song that sounds like it's ripped straight out of my high school diary, lovesick lyrics and all. It's almost like getting to revisit your teenage years without having to deal with the awkwardness that comes with it- which is definitely a good thing. There's plenty more where that came from on the group's debut album Breaking Away, out soon.

Foxes, "White Coats"
Louisa Rose Allen is Foxes, the London singer and songwriter who's slowly conquering America one CW show at a time. She's already made two musical cameos on Gossip Girl with her singles "Youth" and "Home," and now she's unleashing her explosive new track to the masses via free download. The song might start out slow, but before you know it her pure, clear voice erupts into a chorus so catchy I embarrassingly started singing along without even knowing the words. Luckily, after listening to it 10+ more times, I think I've finally got them down. Any bets on where she'll will pop up next? Our money's on The Vampire Diaries...

Slam Donahue, "It's Scary"
My friends are probably sick of me telling them to download Slam Donahue's mixtape- I impatiently remind them every other day- but I can't stop, because it's just so good (and it's free!). This New York-based trio of friends have a crazy house party vibe, topped off with frenetic dancing, headbanging, and all. And while it's tough to pick a favorite song off Big House Nice Dreams because they're so different, the lead track "It's Scary" is the perfect introduction to this group's awesomely fun vibe. Now the next question is, how can I bribe them to play my birthday party....?

Nylon, seriously you all definately know how to pick them jams! I still find myself jamming out to the ones you put up last season! And the Nicolas Jaar "With Just ONE Glance" is a big favorite of mine! I'm digging Foxes "White Coats", her voice is intoxicating, love it, definately feeling it on a late Friday night! Makes me feel beautiful.
