SMALLVILLE

Big lashes come in small packages.

The "bare faced" look is major for spring (and definitely for the music festivals and beach parties that edge us into summer), but if you want to skip your eyeliner in favor of a fresh and natural look - like the one sported by actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw in our April issue, and pictured above - you'll need to make your eyes pop without relying on bold colors or even the trusty cat-eye. Instead, you'll need to pay particular attention to your eyelashes, and that means (insert fanfare here)... great mascara.

In truth, there are many fantastic lash boosters, all with their own celebrity endorsement. (Taylor Swift and Drew Barrymore go for CoverGirl; Erin Wasson reps Maybelline; Adele and Alexa Chung use Eyeko; the Hunger Games cast works with Make Up For Ever.) Meanwhile, Azealia Banks told us she's obsessed with BeneFit Cosmetics' They're Real Mascara, which just released a new smaller tube.

They're Real Mini uses the same formula as BeneFit's best-selling product, but its wand is significantly shorter, giving you more control (and less clumps) during application. It's $10 - about $15 less than the full size tube - and contains about enough mascara to last you 8 weeks.

Considering makeup artists recommend you ditch your mascara every 2-3 months anyway to avoid bacteria buildup, this seems like a very good deal.
