Those that are not on display in museums in France, Belgium, and Germany are still handcrafted masterpieces: Ankle booties, pointed-toe pumps, and slingbacks are dipped in two tones of leather, from black to bold chartreuse and mustard colors, to blinding metallics, but possess a minimalist appeal—something that likely stuck while Vlamings studied industrial design at Artschool in Arnhem in the Netherlands.
