Along with Built to Spill and breakout solo star Youth Lagoon, Finn Riggins is another Boise indie favorite making some major waves outside the local city limits- and we couldn't be more excited. We first tipped you off to these University of Idaho-turned-indie rockers in our America Issue, and now they're gearing up for a stint of live shows and a forthcoming EP.
They'll be stopping at SXSW before they settle back in (where else?) Boise for the inaugural Treefort Music Festival, just before they release Benchwarmers on April 21 on Portland record label Tender Loving Empire.
But for now, get a first listen of the title track. Sure, it might take inspiration from those lame wannabe athletes who spend more time sulking on the bench than on the field....but this song is so good, it makes us totally reconsider the benchwarmer bad rap. Above-posting hipster douchebags be damned! Finn Riggins rocks!

All the haters on these comments are probably just people who sat the bench in sports, and can't get over it. Finn Riggins forever, this is the jam. Shimmy to the right, haters...
