LOVE MOROCCO

LOVE MOROCCO

Get celebrity hair at the drugstore.

We've long been addicted to Argan oil, the main ingredient in Josie Maran's organic makeup line that helps skin stay supple and hair turn silky.  Produced by the kernels of the Argan trees of Morocco, the oil is something of a secret weapon at fashion shows and red carpets.  (Even though we're not running off to any modeling agencies, we use it religiously in the office, too.)

Read our interview with Josie Maran.

Until now, it's been difficult for us to obtain the oil outside of Sephora, but now Organix introduces a one-two punch of "Moroccan Argan Oil" into their latest shampoo, conditioner, and hair masques.

You can score it at drugstores - or on Beauty.com - for $8 per container, and if you start using it now, you should have noticeably shinier hair in time for the Oscars.  (Or, you know, the Oscar party you and your roommates throw every year on your couch.)

I'm not sure about the US but this line has been available in Canada for quite a while. Highly recommend it too!

This product has been in drugstores for awhile here in the US also, so I don't know what she's talking about. I also doubt it works as well as the actual oil. I buy the Proclaim argan oil hair oil treatment from sally's beauty supply for $7. Don't be fooled by the size of the bottle though, a little goes a long way.

I use the Argan oil from Sally Beauty Supply too. It's so cheap and has lasted me over a year!

not only has this specific product been out for A WHILE, but it's not even pure argan oil...which, by the way, you don't have to get in the form of the overpriced josie maran stuff. as the poster above said, they sell it at sally's and it's very cheap. argan oil treatment is nothing new. this magazine has the tendency to publish articles and reviews of stuff when it's already outdated, and without doing the tiniest bit of research. to write that this stuff has been hard to find outside of sephora is actually kind of shameless sephora promotion. as a former sephora employee, i can say that they really don't have anything that you can't find anywhere else (for much less money) besides sephora brand stuff, which is basically drugstore quality. (*sephora rant over)

I saw this is drug stores in the US over the summer. This has been out for a while. Organix has a line of different shampoos, some are tea tree oil and shea butter.
