Testing the Meadham Kirchoff nail wraps, now at Topshop and CVS.
After several messy attempts with various members of the nail wrap family, I've been feeling disheartened by the sticky manicure craze. That is, until Nail Rock’s founder, Zoe Pocock, strutted into the NYLON office in 4-inch stilettos and a purse filled with enough nail stickers to last a few lifetimes.

Within seconds, Zoe had removed all the left-over polish from my nails, before buffing and trimming each one quickly. In her words, this is the "necessary prep" needed to get that perfect, airtight stick. Now prepped and read to go, Zoe busted out her latest range for Nail Rock, which is by far the best yet.

From an Aztec-inspired tribal gold print to a metallic cheetah "split" (a quirky take on last season's half-moon manicure), the Spring/Summer collection is chock-full of unique patterns, each boasting a healthy dose of wit. After a long internal debate, I decided on the hand-drawn cartoon collection, tailor-made for Meadham Kirchoff Spring '12 show.

As far as applying the wraps goes, Zoe's most useful tip is to pull the sticker tight before filing off the excess. The end result: a week's worth of chip-free nails and endless compliments from passersby.
