Vahram Muratyan first started his
popular blog Paris vs. NYC out of sheer homesickness for
both cities. It was a "grass-is-always-greener" situation, where the Paris-based graphic designer longed for The Louvre and Pont des Arts during his extended stays in New York, but suddenly missed The Met and the Brooklyn Bridge once he returned back to France.
So after transforming this pro-and-con list into his cult website, Muratyan's illustrations now take a print turn in his new book.
Paris Versus New York: A Tally of Two Cities is a friendly match-up in picture form, pitting everything and everyone from the metro and the subway to Carrie and Amelie against each other.
It's tough to pick sides between the two locales (except on the matchup between Pepe Le Pew and the squirrel, because there's really no competition), but one thing's for sure: this awesome art book deserves a spot on your coffee table...no matter where you call home.
