Will you breathe deep with a tobacco candle?
No one likes the smell of cigarettes (or at least, they only admit it in the back room of Westway at 3 am). But the smell of pipe tobacco is a bit different. It's inviting, comforting, and offer a heavy dose of nostalgia for the kids whose fathers used to smoke them on special occasions.
That being said, if you whip out a traditional pipe a party, you might get more than a couple of weird looks.
To avoid being confused with your Grandpa (or Sherlock Holmes), try burning a tobacco-scented candle before you head out for the night. Malin + Goetz offers the safe-for-work alternative to their classic marijuana candle; Tom Ford, Archipelago, and Votivo have their own versions.
But our favorite is the Hotwicks pipe tobacco candle; it’s cheap, powerful, and the website promises that if you burn it, people will think you’re smart. Obviously, you don’t need a candle for that, but a little extra boost never hurts…
