Scrapbooking, like weaving friendship bracelets and using the Ouija board, has long been a teen hobby. Now thanks to flip.com, it has reached the web 2.0 generation. “Anyone can make a flipbook!” exclaims Chris Gonzalez, executive editor of the new social network, which allows people to create their own online "scrap-blog" by cutting and pasting photos, videos, and blog entries to a music-playing, page-turning slideshow. “We wanted girls to be able to tell their own story in a creative way,” Gonzalez continues. From interactive rants about Marc Jacobs and Fall Out Boy, to photomontages of members' bad hair days coming together at the click of a button, it’s enough to make me want to reclaim the years I spent collaging Jordan Catalano on the inside of my locker.
