We're big fans of glitter, but unless we're channeling Dakota Fanning in The Runaways or a Flashdance-era Jennifer Beals, a little shimmer can go a long way. But we've found a secret weapon that proves that glitz doesn't have to be restricted to Halloween...or even late nights out.
Cargo's new Glitter Topcoat is a clear liquid eyeliner that's inflected with iridescent sparkles, making it the perfect overlay to regular liner (or you can leave it solo for a subtle effect). We tried it over Urban Decay's 24/7 waterproof black, and loved the fact that we could layer the shimmer until we got just the right look.
The sheer formula doesn't work quite as well over shadow, but it does inject a dose of unexpected glamour into your basic cat-eye. It's smudgeproof enough to stay in place for a clean everyday swoop, but if you want to smear the shimmer for a "she's come undone," rockstar's girlfriend look? Yeah, you can do that too.
