Burlesque and the Art of the Teese (Harper Collins)
Dita Von Teese brought style and silicone-free sexiness back to the striptease. But it’s not just her perfect body or what she does with it–
well, sure, that too—that we’re in awe of. The burlesque beauty is the quintessential glamour girl: she collects vintage, ’40s era couture; drives a restored original Chrysler New Yorker; and can dance ballet, swing, and Argentine tango as well as an orchestrated strip show, all the while primped and polished to a t. Ms. Teese was duly picked by M.A.C. Cosmetics to be the face of their Viva Glam VI campaign, but for those of us who want to see more of her, our eyes are peeled for her next act. By the looks of it, this Teese isn’t all for show.
REVLON HIGH DIMENSION PERMANENT HAIR COLOR IN BRIGHT BLACKBlondes might have more fun, but the naturally fair-haired Teese is having a fine time on the dark side.
