Packaged in a mysterious little black tube, the balm leaves us feeling slightly curious and totally conflicted. Sure, we get the whole beauty is pain thing, but maybe a painkiller-infused lip balm is taking the whole thing a little too far...

Does this make anyone else think of Firefly?
Re: the product...wondering if, without the sting, people will perceive less of a plumping effect? IOW, does the success of a plumping lip product depend partly on a placebo effect from the sting?
