At the Chanel Resort show a few months ago, Karl Lagerfeld sent models parading down the runway in Easter egg tweed separates, crisp tennis-inspired whites, and polka dot maillots. But rather than opting for another one of Chanel's sure-to-be-bestselling nail shades to top off these beachy-haute outfits, the Kaiser chose to have the models' hands au naturale.
Thanks to Karl and co., the barehanded look has morphed from a potential one-hit wonder to a full-fledged summer beauty trend with brands like ZOYA and Essie releasing flesh-toned collections. The most unique offering, though, comes from cult line RGB, which has teamed up with Hollywood nail stylist Jenna Hipp on a new line of shades.
The inspiration behind these four colors? Believe it or not, they directly correspond to the foundation from your makeup drawer. In other words, if you have lighter skin, you should choose the paler F1, whereas the chocolate brown F4 supposedly better suits darker-skinned girls. Not only is the strategy a foolproof plan to the most flattering mani, but it's also guaranteed to make your next trip to the salon a lot less stressful.
Check out HIPP X RGB below and let us know- are you into the idea of picking our your manicure according to your makeup? Or would you rather choose your polish the old fashioned way?
