AROMATHERAPY

We'll miss the musky scents of winter, but these exotic fragrances are lifting our spirits.

1. BILL BLASS
Trends come and go, but Bill Blass' ladylike designs seem to transcend seasons. Such is also the case with his new signature scent. Despite a disappointing tagline ("for women who dress for men"), The Fragrance From Bill Blass is a fine mixture of floral and wood—including neroli petals, white hyacinth, lily of the valley, and jasmine—that, come to think of it, would probably, actually, appeal to more women than men.

2. YSL YOUNG SEXY LOVELY
From Paris, the perfume both created in and favored still by the '80s crowd, to Babydoll, the collector edition of which comes with pink pompoms, Yves Saint Laurent fragrances have run the gamut of generations. One thing they all share, that can't be upset by age either, is a sense for romance. The new, aptly-titled Young Sexy Lovely, combines sweet-smelling peach and pear with spicier notes of redcurrant and amber in a scent both the unseasoned and more sophisticated wearer alike will love.

3. PEOPLE OF THE LABYRINTHS A*MAZE
Dutch designers People of the Labyrinths' debut perfume, Luctor et Emergo, was an instant classic. The label's sartorial creations have since evolved to be more complex, but despite this, their second scent, Amaze, arrives ten years later as a simple, all-natural rose incarnation with subtle hints of henna and saffron... Another classic.

ISLAND MICHAEL KORS HAWAII
The third fragrance to join Michael Kors' Island series, Hawaii takes the citrus flavors of clementine, pineapple, and neroli and fuses them with the exotics of its namesake—jasmine sambac and Hawaiian ginger lilies. The fragrance comes together as coolly as its creator's Project Runway discourse, but gets you to Kors' off-season spot on a significantly cheaper level.

HERMES PAPRIKA BRASIL
Hermes Paprika Brasil, new to the company's Hermessence Collection, is at this point probably a refreshing departure from the floral, fruity scents so far anticipated for spring. With paprika, iris, pimento, and Brazil wood stirred together, it yields a bold piquant aroma that even the sweetest tooth will welcome it sticking around, and not in a nauseous way.
