WASH AND LEARN

WASH AND LEARN

We have a crush on the new Elemis skin soap.

Elemis may be known for their hardcore anti-aging creams, but they have a new line that's trying (very hard) to change that.  It's called Elemis FreshSkin, and it claims to combine raw fruit and plant extracts with gentle cleansers like glycerin.

We'd need a week to try everything in the range (face masks, night creams, day lotions, eye gels...) so instead we grabbed the thing we needed - a foaming face wash - and tested it for seven days.

The results were good - very good.  The soap rinsed off sunscreen and leftover makeup, kept skin softer than most cleansers, and didn't smell sweet, despite being called "Peachy Perfect."  (We braced ourselves for that Lipton Iced Tea smell we swore would come out of the container, but no!)  Over the weekend, we washed our face at least three times a day (at the gym, before going out, at 4am when we got home...) and the cleanser kept doing its job, without drying our skin out or making it flake.

It can't remove liquid eyeliner, lip stains, or kohl without a little help.  But as an everyday cleaner, this one definitely has our vote.
