After going my entire life without bleaching my hair, I finally took the plunge this past winter and majorly lightened my locks. And while I don't regret my decision, I was unaware just how much weekend at the beach could affect the texture of my hair-- until now.
For those in a similar boat, you know the predicament of summer hair care: The heat dries out your hair, which leaves you choosing between dry, unmanageable tresses or over-conditioned, greasy ponytail.
Sound familiar? Well, after testing out Got2b's Fat-Tastic Dry Shampoo yesterday, I think I've found the perfect solution. In the morning, rather than skimping on conditioner (as an attempt to avoid greasy hair), I used as much as I felt my hair needed. After a full day of running around the city and my hair left looking a bit oily, I followed the instructions on the yellow can and spritzed away.
The result? Aside from minor nozzle-malfunction, I was definitely impressed. Not only did my hair look clean, but it felt soft and bouncy, free of any of that white residue I've experienced with other dry shampoos. Oh, and did I mention it smells slightly of roasted marshmallows? Trust me, it's a good thing.
