If you read this website, you know we're completely obsessed with lip stains.  They're durable, they're bright, and they're the easiest way to make sure you make it through a night without looking like you just rolled out of bed (unless it's in that really sexy Taylor Momsen way, but most of us haven't figured out how to actually do that yet).

The one problem with a stain is that it feels a little dry, and if you apply a heavy duty balm on top of it, you wreck the matte texture and sometimes even the longevity of the color.

Smashbox just did something brilliant to nix that effect, creating a double-duty lip product that's a stain pen on one end, and a matching tinted balm on the other.  The stain pen creates a very rich pigment, and the balm - which is optional - adds some moisture without ruining your carefully crafted look.

You can also wear either product separately, so if you want a sheer wash of berry or hot pink some days, and a stained crush of red another day... well, it's easy enough.
