This Spring, your shoes are going to get spotty.
Way back in middle school, the leopard print flat was MVP in our wardrobe. Cute, basic, and comfortable, it was our first attempt at dipping our toes (pun intended) into shoes slightly more trendy than our beat-up high tops.

Not surprisingly, the animal flats' popularity hasn't vanished since the days when we would wear them to early school dances. But this season, designers are giving the classic style a tomboy makeover- keep the low heel and the spotty pattern, but ditch the girly ballet shape.
Everyone from Brian Atwood to Miu Miu have instead revamped the animal print on luxe driving loafers. With details like black leather piping and even studs, the styles are surprisingly cool, fresh and totally versatile. They're so universal, Tommy Hilfiger, YSL and Tods all showed them in their menswear-not women's- collections.
But the fact that the style is unisex shouldn't discourage you from buying them. It just means there's even a better selection of leopard loafers to stomp around in this Spring.
