LUSH FLUSH

LUSH FLUSH

Our new beauty secret takes five seconds to apply.

We fell in love with the natural, barely-there makeup looks in the April issue of NYLON (see the graphic above for a good idea of why).  But going "bare faced" is tricky, because usually, you're not actually wearing nothing.  Instead, it's a delicate balance of moisturizer, lip balm, and maybe a streak of foundation - though we think that defeats the point.

Instead, we experimented with Make Up For Ever's new Uplight, a shimmer-infused gel that goes on sheer and highlights your cheekbones and eyes without requiring your full attention - literally, it's a finger-swipe on your favorite parts of the face, and you're good to go.

It comes in three textures - silky, pearly, or shimmery - which you can mitigate depending on your desired look, and the amount of moisture or product already on your skin.

Just one caveat: This stuff looks perfectly dewy on your face, and it can negate the need for other makeup, but if you don't wipe your hands from the "sparkling" kind after use, you might get tiny particles of glitter on your iPhone.  A tissue is definitely required for the perfect application.
