Testing LimeCrime's latest offerings.
You know LimeCrime for their not-so-subtle colors - they're the only brand in recent memory that lets you smear pastel blue or Creamsicle orange onto your lips, and have it appear the exact same color on your face as it does in the tube.
But their latest offerings are a bit toned down - at least, for them.
We got our hands on LimeCrime's Centrifuscia (a reddish hot pink), Contessa Fluourescent, and Airborne Unicorn, and did a test.
Below, the results - including a Barbie pink pout (on Liza), a surprisingly wearable dark lip (on Ali), and a gumball purple (on me).
Check it out, and if you like the results, you can score all three colors for $16 each.

How can Nylon not be aware of the huge poopstorm over Lime Crime a few years ago and what an absolute rip-off their repackaged crap is?! The owner "Doe" has a HORRIBLE reputation as a liar among many other things.

These are my favorite shades! I have both Airborne Unicorn and Centifuscia, and I love how long they last! I plan on buying Contessa Fluorescent (the Barbie pink) next. The first time I ever heard about Lime Crime was in an issue of Nylon, so it's cool seeing you guys giving them some love. :)

The lipstick has a really awful quality and stains really bad...not to mention the company's bad rep! I suggest you look at other brands.

Seriously!?! How is LimeCrime still in business? For amazingly bright colours from a company that cares about customers I'd say check out Urban Decay. Urban Decay even cares about animals, they have an amazing vegan selection!

It's ironic that their name is LimeCrime and they've stolen so much from other companies.
MAC also has a huge variety of lip colors including some really bright ones. I know I have a crazy bright pink one I love. I don't think they have say, blue, but really...not many people want to wear that anyway. They do have purple though if you want to wear a shade that's a little more out of the box.

Come on, everyone! Are you gonna believe every rumor you hear? And there are only so many colors that some are bound to look similar. None of you have the right to say that Lime Crime is just repackaged unless you have actually seen it. And lots of people want to wear blue lipstick.
Also, Doe is very sweet and cares a lot about her customers. The lipsticks and eyeshadows are all vegan too.
So don't hate.

Cheryl, shrunken head. Mac did release the blue kiss & it got sold out faster than greased lightning so obviously it was popular especially being that its rare at that. There are people who DO want to rock the blueberry yum yum, you don't speak for everyone. Atleast Lime Crime stays on your lips unlike Mac...& ironically named after a pimp ;)
