DIY: CHANEL RIVA NAIL POLISH

DIY: CHANEL RIVA NAIL POLISH

Get the shade that everybody wants - but nobody can have.

At a trendy bar, the mixologist is the guy mixing whiskey with ginger and raw eggs (seriously, we've seen it).

But here at NYLON,  we've redefined mixology as the art of nail polish concoction.

Enter Riva, Chanel's latest lacquer creation due out December 1st. Since spotting it on the fashion house's Resort 2011 runway, we've been completely obsessed with the glowing baby blue hue.  The question is: Even if we manage to get our hands on a bottle - which debuts December 1st, but is apparently already sold out! -can we handle coughing up $39 for a bottle?

So, we decided to put our mixology skills to the test, and we think it may be better than a Pear-Ginger-Egg Yolk-Tini.

Our winning recipe: Mix six parts of an opaque white polish,  with two parts of Brucci "Bert's Blue," and one part of Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in "Blue Me Away.
