Cowboys, soldiers, men-at-work—maybe their sexy swagger has something to do with their dungarees. The designers behind G-Star jeans certainly seem to think so. Borrowing from Western and army styles, the Amsterdam-based denim label’s fall collection introduces everything from hunting vests to the “Shipmate Salopette” pant (a naval-style trouser with a detachable front) and boyfriend-cut blues with industrial zippers. Sporting her G-Stars in a fresh gray wash this month is Nathalie Rock—the daughter of legendary photographer Mick Rock. A quintessential city girl, Rock’s ruggedly cool look is the definition of street smarts.
