"Smell this," I say, holding up my wrist. It's been sprayed with perfume. It's a dare.
"It's good," says Ali. "Really good," says Liza. "So I'm not crazy," I remark, "This perfume
does smell like a cool, adult fragrance. Huh."
A pause as I reach under my desk and pull out the bottle.
"It's Juicy Couture!" I exclaim. "No way," the girls gasp. But it's true.
The bottle is called Peace, Love, and Juicy Couture, and it's the newest perfume from the pink and powder-puff brand. But instead of smelling like cupcakes or sugar-drenched champagne, this fragrance smells like morning flowers, rainy air, and the woods at night. It's subtle, it's grown up, and it's going to be my new favorite scent. Of course, I might still have to spray paint the crystal-and-pink bottle with black varnish, and maybe cover it with some oh-so-tough skull bandaids, but that's just me...
