DIALED IN
Your cell phone just became your new makeup artist.
YouTube is popping with DIY makeup gurus; Stila has a palette that talks you through a smokey eye application; Estee Lauder put makeup artist Tom Pecheaux and supermodel Hilary Rhoda on its website with how-to instructions. Now Urban Decay starts their own viral invasion with QR codes attached directly to their Sephora display.
It's pretty easy to get into the action: Take a photo of the code with your cell phone, then run it through a QR reader (which you can download for free from any App store). You'll be taken to one of four videos, including an eyeshadow tutorial and a lipstick film. If you don't want to watch them while shopping, you can save the link and see them at home - or even on your laptop instead of your Blackberry.
As if you needed an excuse to spend more time in Sephora.
