These pens promise a picture-perfect French manicure.

Fact: it takes a special talent (and seriously steady hands) to give yourself a good manicure at home.

For those of us missing one-or both- of these qualities, YSL has the answer. Their French Manicure Kit includes 2 nail pens that promise to deliver a manicure that rivals the ones from the salon.

It's the easiest way to get a jump start on the classic, girly beauty look that crept up on the S/S'11 runways everywhere from Jason Wu to 3.1 Phillip Lim.

At $44 for the set, they're not exactly cheap, but this DIY option is definitely less expensive than the professional version. And hey, practice makes perfect.

why wouldn't you just go buy the Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens or something then? $44 for basically a small tube of white and baby pink designer nail polish... so not worth it in my opinion. I'd rather spend $44 (probably less!) on a real, professional french mani than do my own and eff it up. just saying.

I'm loving it! As a nail art enthusiast and YSL lover, why not invest & make the job that much easier with my two favorite loves? The difference between the YSL and the alternative though is you're really paying for the brand name and maybe even quality too. Keep in mind though, a pen is much easier to be steady with then a brush and maybe even nicer than the Sally Hansen alternatives. lets at least give it a go. :]
