CUT SOME SLACK
Can Gap's new pants share the spotlight with your favorite jeans?
Gap's latest collection of jeans was so adorable (and so perfectly fit) that we featured them as a major Freebie Friday. But now Patrick Robinson and his San Francisco posse have rolled out a new project that wants your attention: Slacks.
They come in black, gray, and vintage khaki. They can be cropped, skinny, boy-fit, or flare. They go with t-shirts, with button-ups, with blouses, or with the occasional slouchy sweater. And though lots of style muses have sported slacks in the past - Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face, Ann Margret in Bye Bye Birdie - they've been totally upstaged by skinny jeans for the past decade.
Can Gap change the trend? Will you wear these new (decidedly non-denim) pants? Check them out and decide for yourself - they're rolling into Gap stores right now.
