BLACK MAGIC
Don't be afraid of the dark.
Black lipstick works on the fashion runways - and on the occasional rock goddess like Karen O - but it's tough to pull off in real life. And while there are deep purple and black berry options, a truly bewitching lip is hard to find.
Urban Decay gives it their best shot with the new Lip Junkie, a new line of gloss hitting stores this month. Their darkest color, Perversion, is a sorcery mix of black, gray, blue, and purple that turns lips into a truly shady pout.
The gloss also has a tiny bit of plumper, in case you're looking for maximum effect. And though it's filled with sparkles, you can't see any glitter when it goes on your lips - so the effect is more Cauldron Chic than Pixie Punk.
And if you're still not convinced? Lip Junkie comes in other colors, including the way more conventional pink - although, this being Urban Decay, it's called "Peroxide."

I have a strong feeling that this would look awful on anyone. Black/Blue lips don't belong on humans

First of all, I love Urban Decay. Their makeup is truly the best!
With that being said, I agree that black/dark glosses and lips are truly hard to pull off.
However, black LIPSTICK is completely different from a more sheer gloss, which makes it slightly more easier to style with.
The only scenario I can think of where it would look good is on an episode of Gossip Girl, on Taylor Momsen wearing one of her signature punky-dark gowns, attending a fancy Halloween party.

I think delaney needs to be a little more open minded, there are ways of pulling off any look. While not appropriate for an everyday look it does have potential for a statement making dramatic look.

Sorry to say, but I don't think black/ blue/ purple lips are hard to pull off at all. My favourite lipstick is this dark purple color and I wear it everyday while getting tons of compliments. It really depends on how you want to see a product.
