We test a lot of beauty products in the NYLON office, and most of them are so weak, they don't even make the blog. So when we say you must try something, we really mean it - after all, we go through about 50 beauty products a week in this place.
Our new - but definitely not fleeting - addiction is Maybelline's Falsies mascara, which claims to give the same effect as false eyelashes, without the glue or the hassle. We tried it, and we swear, it really works.
The mascara is slightly more expensive than Maybelline's Great Lash variety, but we'd say it's worth the $8.50 - especially since the tube is jumbo-sized, and should last you a couple of months.
Of course, we're not the only ones onto this miracle tube, so you might want to get it soon. Otherwise, as is the case with all cult cosmetics, you might blink and miss it.

The issue I always have with mascara is that my lashes are so long I get those streaks where it rubs off from touching my lid right below my brow. Hey Jenn! (in the case you read this) is this mascara smear/smudge proof?

Well, I've never tried this yet but I have really really short eyelashes so I have doubts on this one. I've tried a lot of lengthening mascaras but they never work on me. That's how short my lashes are. Any advice?

oooooh! i've seen ads and commercials for this. but never really trusted enough to try it. i just might now! thanks nylon! i already have fairly long lashes. but i love anything that makes them look even longer. dramatic eyes are the best!
to geekygirl: try using a lengthening lash primer before your mascara? that might help. :)

Bought this today and LOVE IT! On sale for $5 at CVS! I've been in love with maybelline mascara since great lash, I have long eyelashes so i don't know how this will work for shorter ones, but i<3 it.
