LADY AND THE VAMP

LADY AND THE VAMP

A new perfume in honor of New York's most famous attraction - its girls.

When a luxury perfume comes in a coffee cup, it's bound to be intriguing.  And when we discovered the potion was created in France as an ode to the city that never sleeps, we were downright dying to smell it.

But it took a little work, since Vamp a New York, the new scent from Honoré des Prés, is only available in Paris.  Created with organic materials, the fragrance was "designed" by perfumer Olivia Giacobetti to mimic the intoxicating, energizing pace of New York.  And she does a pretty good job - especially since Parisian perfume can often get sickly sweet or a little too complex.

A few sprays last all day, and while you're perfectly capable of being vampy without them - or without living in New York, for that matter - it never hurts to have scent on your side.

Want to order your own bottle to America?  It's about $75, and available through Colette.

This seems great and I really love the packaging, but its pretty irresponsible to order a new perfume online when you can't even try it out first...everyone's chemistry is different and I don't want to spend that much money on something that turns out to not be flattering at all.
