Last fall, we spotted Particulièr, the mushroom/putty nail color modeled in Chanel’s runway show. Too antsy to wait three months (and too thrifty to pay $$$),
we mixed a budget-friendly duplicate.Last week, we ogled over the Parisian label’s new resort collection. Aside from Georgia Jagger rocking ‘70s bell bottom cords, there’s one thing we can’t stop obsessing over: the mystery nail color.
It’s almost a powder blue, far from a sea green, and sort of reminds us of BIC Wite-Out.
Unnamed by Chanel’s beauty squad, the lacquer probably won’t hit shelves for a while. So we’ve once again concocted our own solution: a whole lot of opaque white polish plus one tiny dot of Aldo’s Thunderbolt Love ($6 in Aldo stores). Or, in math terms, nine parts white and one part color.

P.S. for the main color, any opaque white will do. We used “French Heaven” by Brucci ($2.99 @ Duane Reade). Other good whites: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On and China Glaze White Kwik Silvr... and of course, Wet 'n Wild.
