This is a pretty interesting choice for the cover but I don't mind it. However, I'm not exactly familiar with 95% of the "Young Hollywood" that are featured in this issue.
P.S. "hmmm Vanessa Hudgens? yuck" "Vanessa (naked pics?)"...you're not over that? Seriously? I'm surprised you immature girls didn't complain about Ashley Greene's naked pictures.

Yeah, uh Bella? I was reading through a few of these, and when I got to yours, that hardly made any sense. You're bringing racism into this? Really? Yes racism is still around, but when it comes to nude pictures around the internet and whatnot, people talking about it isn't based off of race. I've actually forgotten about the whole Vanessa naked picture thing. Uhm, bella the reason why they arent ragging on ashley for nude pics is because ashley was a LEGAL ADULT when she took those pictures. Vanessa Hudgens was 15 years old when she did, which disgusts me even more. Its not just the fact that they were nude pics, its the age she was when she took them. Rihanna had nude pics leaked but she was wayyyy over 18 when she took them so she didnt get any flack for it. Actually LORIN I feel that since she was younger, I felt less disgusted because people tend to make stupid mistakes when they were younger. Most teenagers got influenced easily especially when it's bad influence. It's when a supposed adult make stupid mistakes that gets to me. Just my opinion.

Its great NYLON put Vanessa Hudgens for May issue. If not, I doubt if ther magazines will be sellable like hot cakes. You know what I mean. And I never knew that one is excusable taking clohtes when she is in legal age and if one is 15 years old she is being crucified her whole life. So, if you are the parents of the two celebrities, you will save the face of your legal daughter and ruin the rest of of your youngest daughter lives because you are shameful of it.. Does it make sense being bias to Vanessa Hudgens? terrible opinion isnt it?

Some of the comments here are ridiculous and it’s nice to know this comment section is filled with narrow minded individuals. All of these girls are up and coming actresses and in Ashley and Vanessa’s cases they are trying to move on from the really big franchises that made them household names. It seems wrong to hate on someone for getting their big break on a Popular Disney franchise that was meant to be aimed at tween girls and at the same time show approval to someone who is a supporting player in twilight a franchise not known for quality or talent as well. Nylon is obviously looking at all the moves they are making now to distance themselves from their big breaks with Ashley having parts in The Apparition her new film with Draco Malfoy and freddie from Skins and she been cast in Butter a new film with Jennifer Garner so she is moving away from Twilight. Vanessa has been taking roles in Beastly her new film with NPH and Mary -Kate Olsen and she actually won the showest female star of tomorrow for beastly and the film received good buzz from the audience of theatre owners and exhibitors. Her next film after that is Zack Snyder’s new film Sucker Punch which all the fanboys will go crazy over because they love Zack Snyder and he picked Vanessa after she auditioned and he must of felt she was actually good to make her one of the leads. So maybe people should wait until the issue is out before making judgments and personal attacks are always tacky and cheap.

WELL, first of all..i'm not super excited over this issues cover girls, but they're an improvement from previous covergirls. i agree with many people though, even though the covergirls could be chosen a bit better, the inside of the magazine never dissapoints, it's always filled with great articles and fashion. so, i stand by NYL0N all the way. and as for the whole "vanessa, ashley naked picture controversy", who the heckk cares! it's their vagina, they do as they please. so what if you want to take naked pictures, theyre just pictures! and it's their life, not yours. the freedom of choice is that it doesn't have to be right, it doesn't have to be wrong, it's YOUR choice. so, be judgmental, and negative, and ignorant. but it doesn't change a thing. anyway, my point: if you don't like what you see in NYLON, then move on to another magazine. I love Nylon Magazine SO MUCHI I feel Portia Doubleday should defintely be on the cover. She is a new star that I have never heard of and would like to get to know. But honestly, I do not think ANY one likes Vanessa. She does not seem talented, welcoming, and in my opinion, is a bad role model. Ashley Greene, I kinda of like, I haven't seen her in too much but she seems okay. I know this issue will be great because it always is and I am really excited, but next time, you should survey to find who we want for your Young Hollywood Edition. I am honestly shocked at the hatred of the people on this cover. I don't know who Portia is but I'm sure she's fantastic! don't you vanessa/ashley-lovers get it? it's not about naked pictures, twilight or disney. they just don't fit with the nylon image, or at least not the cool, edgy, underdog, avant-garde image they used to have. other cover girls like sienna miller, karen o., zooey deschanel, or lily allen are just in another league. nylon if you're about to go teen vogue on us, please just put like hannah montana on your next cover, so we could get a clear message. what's happening to my ultimate kick-ass culture, music, fashion, BIBLE ?

Hmm..well I want to see "Youth Revolt" with Portia Doubleday, "Skateland" with Ashley Green and "Sucker Punch" with Vanessa Hudgens so I guess I must not dislike them all the way...still though Nylon could have done a bit better. I mean "Sucker Punch" doesn't come out until Dec. 2010, "Youth Revolt" was released in Jan. and "Skateland" will stay in Film Festivals until the end of the year. I don't understand the angle really unless Nylon is promoting "Twilight"/ Disney which is soo NOT me. Oh and I saw a picture of Taylor Swift on page 192 in the April 2010 issue. Don't EVEN think about putting her on the cover please!

I adore Ashley Greene, she's the prettiest girl on the cover..:) Vanessa is kinda sweet, and Portia, well, isn't very pretty to me. Anyway, Ash looks amazing, her hair is awesome, and pink looks great on her too. I'm not fan of Vanessa, and i didn't know who is Portia, until now, bit i agree that these girls are perfect for cover. All of them are different. But, Ashley is the best!! <3

wow, "JUN" is the only cool one on this entire post. and said most things i probably would have said as well.
nylon obviously puts people they admire on the covers. in fact, some of the people they put on the cover, i am never a fan of or never really knew much about them. but if you actually READ the magazine, you see that the people whom you probably disliked because of their acting abilities or how they are perceived in the media is not who they really are.
in fact, nylon has made me sort of a fan of most the actresses they put on here not because of their acting abilities, but because of who they really are.
they don't ask them the typical stupid questions like teen vogue or what have you. they kind of just let them be who they are.
that is why i still and will always be a fan of nylon.

but i must admit, i am not really feeling some of those outfits in the pictures, but who cares.

I've only ever been dissapointed with one cover girl and that was Hilary Duff, but the article completely changed my mind, it was great and made me actually like her. For this cover people really need to grow up with their comments i mean really? Get a life, especially LOLLA, Wtf thats just immature. I can't wait to get my issue in the mail and im not a big fan of vanessa hudgens but im not gonna sit here and make comments about her mistakes. Although the people on this cover aren't my favourite, i think all these comments are blown way out of proportion. All these girls are talented in one way or another, they may not be the type of people Nylon always have on their magazine cover, but I think everyone should give all these people a chance.
