Lip stains for artists, art school dropouts, and just about everyone else.

Fun fact: MAC stands for Make-Up Art Cosmetics.

Which means that it’s not just for professionals, working backstage at fashion shows and behind-the-scenes at photoshoots, but also for those of us looking to get creative with our morning makeup session.

Starting today, they’re making it even easier with the launch of MAC  Art Supplies, a collection of products meant to let out your inner-Picasso.

In addition to the pencil-like Greasepaint Sticks, now available in eight different colors, there’s the Pro Longwear Lipstain Marker. Like its name suggests, this isn’t your average tube of LipGlass; instead, it’s got the coverage of a tube of lipstick without the commitment.

Unlike other lip markers, which tend to dry lips and leave uneven lines, MAC’s version comes on smooth. With a layer of gloss on top of it, the nine shades look sleek; left alone, you get a not-so-perfect lip that actually looks pretty perfect.

Who needs art school when you’ve got art-inspired makeup?

This product will stay on, but it dries your lips out like crazy. There are definitely better products out there. I personally use ColourStay by revlon, and if you put a thin layer of vaseline before you apply the product it'll plump up your lips and help the colour last without giving that crusty dried look that a lot of lipsticks and colour stains give.
