Fight frizz before you even leave the shower.

Ask any girl with curly hair and she’ll probably tell you that the product that changed her life was John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease.

When the serum first came out, it allowed legions of frizz-prone people to wear their heard down, no matter how humid the day. Since then, most products try to mimic the smoothing affect, with mixed results.

So it goes without saying that we’d get behind just about any Frizz-Ease launch. But John Frieda’s latest stands on its own. The Smooth Start line—a collection of four products—aims to do in the shower what Frizz-Ease does once you dry off. The shampoos and conditioners prep strands for the harsh reality of life outside the bathroom, where wind, rain, and sun threaten to derail even the most perfect of coifs. Split ends? Repaired. Knots? Detangled. And that silky feeling you get after letting the conditioner sit for a few minutes in your hair? Indescribable. (Though we know what’s behind it: special proteins.)

With two different strengths—one for moisturizing, the other for hydrating—there’s no reason why something like a rainstorm should get your hair down. Not like any fan of John Frieda’s Frizz-Ease would expect anything less.
