Crazy new beauty products that will make you blush.
Yesterday, we tackled one of the biggest beauty trends this spring, bold lips.
But there’s something else we’ve been noticing from some of our favorite beauty brands: cheek action.
Gone are the pots of blush, replaced by complex formulations and high-tech tubes.
First up? The recently launched Purple Lab took its Huge Lips Skinny Hips, a lip plumper that got the brand attention in the first place, and applied it to cheeks. Dubbed Cheek Implants, the cream blush promises not just a rosy glow, but plumper jowls (no scalpel necessary).
Similarly, Cargo is building upon the concept of its LashActivator mascara with CheekActivator. Not only does the lotion-like blush promise to plump, lift, and sculpt cheeks, but the color is also customizable; the more you rub it in, the darker it gets. The one downside? Its got an extremely limited release, so you can only grab a tube on April 11, when CheekActivator will be featured on QVC.
And for those who like their cheek structure just as it is, the Body Shop has Kiss of Color, a classic powder blush stored in a quarter-sized pack. Just twist the compact open and out pops an applicator coated in color. If you’re not impressed by the innovative technology, you’ll appreciate the fact that the formula includes community traded Brazil nut oil.
Whether or not you’re longing to plump up something besides your lips, there’s one thing we can all agree on: This spring, prepare to get cheeky.
