FAR OUT

FAR OUT

Mara Hoffman trades fashion week runways for a trippy short film.

Though it's hard to guess what you'll see on the runway until the moments the lights dim, figuring out fashion week isn't too difficult.

There are shows, there are celebrities, and there is clothing.

But Mara Hoffman changed up that equation a bit this year.

During her fall '10 presentation, the designer showed off her new collection against a backdrop of a trippy, short film.

Now, she's making the film available to everyone, not just those on the guest list.

Hysterical Levitation is just as weird - and gorgeous - as the name suggests, with glitter goddesses and far-out forest nymphs frolicking through nature wearing bold printed maxi-dresses and strapless gowns.

Though they encounter a few strangers in the forest (not to mention a few instances of levitation), there's one thing notably missing: a runway.

Featuring the clothing must not have been the priority of this film.

This is really bad. the music doesn't even have anything to do with the clothing... although art comes in different shapes and sizes, this is not workin
