Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is three weeks away, but we already have some scoop about one of its hottest runways:
For Fall 2010, Erin Fetherston is going back to the '60s for some serious inspiration. According to a press release, "For Autumn/Winter 2010, Erin Fetherston took inspiration from Nico, the ultimate Chelsea Girl... The [collection] pays homage to the icon’s personal style and the mythology that surrounds her."
Translation?
Expect some serious a-line dresses, liquid eyeliner, press-on lashes, blown out banged-hair on the level of Jane Birkin, and a killer soundtrack.
And just in case you don't love Velvet Underground, there's more musical inspiration coming onto the catwalks this February:
We hear one of Erin Wasson's main touchstones this season is the legendary guitar hero Jimi Hendrix.
