MOODY TUESDAY

MOODY TUESDAY

Can lip gloss be an emotional barometer?

Last season, Two Faced released a collection of Smurf-inspired makeup, including the improbably named Mood Gloss.

The cosmetic, which was (surprise!) blue like Smurfette, claimed to change color on your lips depending on your emotional state.  If you were happy or lustful, it would get redder.  If you were blue, it would turn... well... you get the idea.

We tested the gloss and found it looked great, smelled great, felt great... and had no change depending on our mood.

But that hasn't stopped Two Faced from releasing a new Mood Swing glosses, this time Smurf-free and available in several shades like berry and pink.  They're pretty.  They're shiny.  They're cool.  We'd wear them every day as part of our makeup routine.

But if you're using them to figure out if you're still not over your ex boyfriend, might we recommend a glass of whiskey and a shrink?

I picked up the darker pink version at Sephora, let all my friends and teachers use it, then lost it. I've never been more heartbroken. That lipgloss was amazing.
